Overview

Introducing GetirJobs, a job searching and recruitment platform that brings together the best of two worlds. GetirJobs was born out of the acquisition of Hemenİş, a well-established job searching platform, with the aim of incorporating its unique features and capabilities into Getir's already popular app.

With the purpose of creating a cross-functional platform that enables users to post jobs and profiles to find employment, GetirJobs was rebranded and redesigned to cater to a more professional audience of skilled workers and professionals. Before the launch, the team took the time to listen to former Hemenİş designers and tech crew, as well as conducting surveys and interviews with Getir users and competitor app consumers.

As a result, GetirJobs boasts a completely redesigned user flow, which provides a fast and modern recruitment tool for professionals. The platform includes a video chat section, and has evolved to offer a wide range of features to better match job seekers with employers.

GetirJobs is set to be a game-changer in the job searching and recruitment industry, and with its exceptional user experience, it is sure to make finding the right job or candidate easier than ever before.

Challenges

Maintaining consistency. Transforming the app without losing the key touchpoints. Trust, ease of use, visual identitiy.

Switching the target audience. Keeping the right balance between meeting the needs of the new brand's target audience while also catering to the needs of existing users.

• Adapting to new brand guidelines. It is important to adhere to the brand guidelines to ensure that the app design is consistent with the rest of the Getir's marketing materials.

• Navigating user expectations.
Existing users has certain expectations regarding the app's design and functionality. Switching it to a new brand requires a clean sheet.

• Smooth transition. It's important to ensure a smooth transition for the audience. This can be challenging, especially if the app's design undergoes significant changes.

• Compatibility. Despite the first product was mostly Android users, around 86% of the Getir users were iOS users.

Research

The research was based on interviews and usability monitoring on 50 Hemenİş and 50 Getir users.

Data revealed that Hemenİş users were into short term jobs. That was actuallly based on the MVP product was made for it.
Also observed that people who are from the Getir’s target audience was into long term and office jobs.

It was also necessary to create a corporate and individual login option in the Open/Edit post action.

Another issue that caused confusion among users was that the action to be taken on the home screen was not presented with a certain contrast and users could not understand which side to advertise on.

The required information in the profile filling section was not sufficiently filled in by users. CRM data’s showed that more than half of the users would have near blank profiles.

70% of users asked for the location of a share button.

The need of ‘‘filter and sort’’ for open positions and employees on display is emerged with the results.

Requirements

Create a clear differentiation between short-term and service jobs, and long-term and office jobs to cater to the two user groups of Hemenİş and Getir's target audience. Consider developing separate categories or filtering options for job postings based on job type.

Redesign the home screen of the app to make it more intuitive and user-friendly. Use contrasting colors or graphics to help users easily identify and navigate the different options on the screen.

Add a corporate and individual login option in the Open/Edit Post action to cater to the needs of different user types. This will make it easier for businesses and individuals to post and apply for jobs, respectively.

Implement better guidance for users in the profile filling section to ensure that they provide all the necessary information. Provide tooltips or help texts to explain the importance of each field.

Add a share button that is easy to locate and use. This will allow users to share job postings with their networks and help to increase the app's visibility and user engagement.

A clear Chat and Video flow A to Z for instant job interviews without even commuting to the necessary location.
